The brief

Cambridge Ahead is a business, academic and research membership organisation dedicated to the sustainable and inclusive growth of Cambridge. Following a brand refresh, the organisation needed a website that could reflect its bold mission and better connect with its diverse audience of member businesses, stakeholders, and policy influencers.

Our approach

As a proudly Cambridge-based brand and marketing agency, we were excited by the opportunity to be part of such a pivotal project for the city! We knew the new site had to go beyond just being informative – it had to inspire and showcase content and data really clearly.

Working closely with the Cambridge Ahead team, we:

  • Delivered a modern, responsive website, custom-designed to reflect their updated branding.
  • Developed clear content structures and intuitive navigation which encourages audiences to stay on the site for longer by exploring and engaging with more content.
  • Integrated 3rd party tools such as the Cambridge Cluster Insights Dashboard for data-driven storytelling.
  • Created easy-to-use, flexible article templates which the team could easily use to add new content and keep the website fresh and encourage repeat visits.
  • Implemented SEO and analytics frameworks to help the team understand and grow their audience.

The results

The new website provides a clean, accessible platform that clearly articulates Cambridge Ahead’s vision. Whether visitors are members, policymakers, or curious newcomers, the site offers a dynamic and engaging experience that reflects the ambition of Cambridge itself.

It was a pleasure to collaborate with another Cambridge-based organisation

We were delighted to work with Penny and the team at Honest Ideas on the development of our new website. They delivered on the brief we set and made the whole process a smooth and positive experience. It was a pleasure to collaborate with another Cambridge-based organisation to create a platform that better serves our members and wider stakeholders.
